Dr. Scannell was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Science at Florida State University, Masters of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Tulane University School of Medicine in May 2016 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2021 from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana. He keeps current on the latest dental techniques and technology through continuing education and his memberships in the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. He is periodically a writer of the AGD's magazine, Impact. In his spare time, Dr. Scannell enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a dentist, and their dog Macks. His interests include fishing, golf, and hiking.
